Milan 2015: Neutrals Grey Shades: Greys are refreshed in gentle tones and tinted shades of blue-grey and green-grey. Tactility is key for grey chairs and sofas upholstered with soft velvet, suede, and marled woolens flecked with white. Colourful yellow flooring or orange cushions enliven grey shades. Grey Glass: Exciting uses of grey glass include Japanese studio Nendo’s shelving units, which are layered with varying shades of grey for intriguing tonal effects. Dutch artist Aliki Kruijs also explores the possibilities of glass with her innovative round floor piece and tubular accessories made of a textile glass composite, coloured with strokes of grey ink. Natural Neutrals: Pale natural woods and rattans are still very much evident for furniture, paired with warm caramel, tan leathers or cream and beige upholstery.
