Micro-environments Micro-environments in the office space provides options for privacy that allow the user to focus within an open-plan environment. New York-based manufacturer Steelcasepresented the Brody personal work lounge. Comprising a reclining seat, angled work surface and in-seat power connection, the Brody is a series of cocoon-like micro-environments that block visual distractions. Configured much like seating in a business-class air cabin, the pod is designed for use in open environments, but could also be placed in underutilised, ‘in-between’ spaces.
