Coca-Cola PlantBottle PlantBottle packaging is the latest breakthrough from The Coca-Cola Company designed to change the way the world thinks of plastic bottles. It is the first ever fully recyclable PET plastic beverage bottle made partially from plants. Already having distributed more than 15 billion of these Plantbottles, made from 30% bio-based material, the company aims to use bottles made from 100% plant-based materials for all products by 2020. The brand has licensed the material technology to other US food manufacturers such as Heinz, Dasani and Odwalla, demonstrating the importance of collaborating and sharing knowledge to drive sustainable innovation.
