Recycled
– Recycled Resin
— Fiber Composite

Range of plastic composites composed of recycled or virgin resins and fillers such as natural fibers, glass fiber or wood flour. The proprietary additive process reduces the moisture uptake of the fillers, creating a material which is both moisture resistant and moisture scavenging, thus the resin does not need to be dried before processing. In addition the natural fillers will maintain their color longer than comparable filled plastics and they will not swell in size and therefore not affect the surface texture of the parts. The resin can be converted into products by injection molding or plastic extrusion processes. The resin is available in pellet form with no minimum quantity required. All versions can also be supplied as a masterbatch additive for letting down into a variety of polymers. The wood filled masterbatch is particularly advantageous for molders or extruders who would like to create wood filled product but do not have the capabilities to work with the wood flour. Natural fillers such as paper, currency, denim, flax, rice or corn hulls can be incorporated; wood fillings include pine, bamboo, oak and maple. The filler contributes to the unique color and appearance of the material, but the resin can also be colored to contrast with the filler. The resins most commonly used are polypropylene (PP), polyethylene (PE) and styrene acrylonitrile (SAN) but other resins can be chosen based on the requirements of the application. Custom fiber fillers or blends can be requested. The loading level of the filler, resin color and melt flow index can be customized. Applications include molded consumer products such as cutting boards, toothbrush handles, or other promotional goods.
