Recycled

— Composite Panel

Thermoformable rigid and semi-rigid panels that can be curved and folded. This range of sheet stock offers an easy-to-use method for creating custom shaped parts that can be painted, printed, adhered and cut to shape. The central core is a combination of recycled polyethylene resins and polyester fleece fabric. The panels are moisture resistant, and can be embossed or perforated for acoustic absorption. When heated above a specific temperature (200 – 300°F; 93 – 150°C), the sheets can be manually or mechanically deformed, and will remain in that shape once the heat source has been removed. This can be done repeatedly. They come in standard sizes of 4 x 5 ft and 5 x 10 ft (1.22 x 1.52 and 1.52 x 3.05 m) and in thicknesses of 0.02, 0.025, 0.04 and 0.07 in (0.5, 0.64, 1 and 1.8 mm). A range of textures and levels of translucency are offered, as well as gloss and matte finishes, and they can be printed, coated or painted any color. The panels can be provided with veneers applied, as well as in multilayers with metal meshes and adhesive backing films. Recycled polymers can be used as the thermoformable core of these sheets. The panels can be offered in fire-retardant grade, complying with ASTM E84 Class A. They are used as rigid parts for automotive to replace metal parts, for consumer products, and for furniture.
