Weavlocked Carbon Fiber

A twill woven carbon fiber fabric for composite reinforcement that is stabilized by a plastic net or veil applied to one side. This net ensures that the carbon fiber weave maintains the correct position during handling and insertion into the tool. It is a random oriented distribution of fine filament polymer yarn. This net does not affect the bonding of the carbon fiber to the resin during production and enables the fabric to drape well. The net is applied once the carbon fiber is woven and can be applied to one or both sides. The fabric is sold by the roll 100 m (330 ft) long at 1 m (3.3 ft) width. The fabric weighs 200 gsm (5.9 osy) with the net only adding 6 gsm (0.18 osy) and is available in black. It is suitable for composite reinforcement for automotive, motorcycles, consumer products, sporting goods, military hardware and some medical devices.
