Shore Hardness Kit

The Shore Hardness Kit contains samples and information across durometer scales.

Shore Hardness is a scale which measures the durometer (hardness or softness) of a polymer elastomer material. The box contains: 9 plastic tubing samples from durometer 35A to Rockwell 120; 14 rubber samples from durometer 30OO to 95A.

Sorbothane Samples
These black oval samples represent the following values on the Shore OO scale: 30, 40, 50, 60, 70.
Plastic Ring Samples
These ring samples represent the following values on the Shore A scale: 30A, 40A, 50A, 60A, 70A, 80A, 90A, 95A. The 1 other ring sample represents the following value on the Shore D scale: 75D.
Plastic Tubing Samples
These tube samples represent the following values on the Shore A scale: 35A, 40A, 55A, 65A, 74A, 85A. The 3 other tube samples represent the following values on the Shore D scale: 43-55D, 65D, 120D.

Durometer Map
The Durometer Map displays 3 shore hardness scales OO, A, and D. The shapes represent the physical samples and correspond to their values on the scales above. You can access a larger map by clicking on the image to the left of this text.
