In Spring 2016, Columbia introduced its new OutDry Extreme technology without any additional outer fabric.Thus a Polyfluorocarbon (PFC)-based DWR was no longer required. This was a step forward to getting rid of most of the PFCs in rainwear. In OutDry Extreme ECO, Columbia was able to remove any remaining PFCs* from the membrane without compromising its high performance standards.
